Volunteer Engagement: Recognition and Year-Round Retention Strategies
Wednesday, March 22, 2017 | 10-11:30 am PST

Volunteers are essential to the success of VITA programs. Across the country, VITA volunteers donate thousands of hours every tax season, from training and certification to tax preparation and quality review. As a result, VITA programs help over 2 million taxpayers annually to access free, high-quality tax preparation, split their refund into savings and so much more—with higher accuracy rates than commercial preparers. Now is the time to start planning the many ways we can thank volunteers for their dedication and hard work! How can VITA programs create recognition events that truly acknowledge the contributions of their volunteers? How can programs work around budget limitations or large geographic areas? What recognition strategies work to keep volunteers engaged with your VITA program year-round? We have some ideas to share with you!

Join CFED’s Taxpayer Opportunity Network for an interactive webinar on March 22 from 1-2:30 pm EDT as we discuss memorable and meaningful VITA volunteer recognition. Phil Poirier, consultant for the Taxpayer Opportunity Network Volunteer Management Working Group, and some of your colleagues who’ve implemented successful volunteer recognition and year-round engagement strategies will share what they’ve found that works best on any budget—and we’d love to hear from you, too!

This webinar is free, but advanced registration is required. Register today!
