October 13, 2017 – (OPTIONAL) E-Services Webinar 10/19 or 10/24 about Secure Access Registration

Reporting source: IRS Oakland SPEC

If you are registered for e-Services as a Responsible Official or Contact on your VITA site’s EFIN (electronic filing ID number) application, you may want to attend an upcoming webinar offered by the IRS e-Services team.

Information will be shared on upcoming changes to registration and use of the system that will affect all e-Service users. This is not a SPEC presentation, and the e-Services team can best answer any questions you have about the e-Services system.

If you are interested, please sign up to attend one of the webinars or to access the recording.

Background:

All e-Services users will soon be asked to register for new accounts protected by Secure Access. The IRS will host a webinar for e-Services users on successfully registering using the new Secure Access process.

Secure Access is a more rigorous, two-factor authentication process that will better protect e-Services tools and sensitive taxpayer information. Following a 15-minute step-by-step process overview, IRS technical experts will answer users’ questions.

Session Dates/Times: USE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING LINKS TO REGISTER TO ATTEND OR ACCESS RECORDED SESSION:

Sessions will cover the same content—participants should attend only one of the sessions listed above. If VITA/TCE partners cannot attend either webcast, they can review either of the recorded sessions (using the links above) for up to 30 days following the conclusion of the live stream.
