Summer, Summer, Summertime – updates!

It has been wonderful catching up with so many of you, making new contacts and beginning new partnerships, and debriefing the season. A few bits of information are below! Please take a look. And, a huge thanks to our year-around sites that are still doing the hard work of tax preparation. This has been a busy summer for our “off-season” sites!

Save the Date!

We have scheduled the Regional Convening for Tuesday, October 22nd at Preservation Park in Oakland. Please save the date and look out for our official invite soon. We are looking for presenters as well as ideas for breakout sessions. Let us know if you have an idea you’d like to present! We hope to present you with a full calendar of optional webinars and other important meetings at the end of September.

Grant Application Coming Soon

Be on the lookout for our updated (and shorter!) grant application coming in early September. UWBA will continue to seek funding for expanding free tax prep services and education and outreach and encourage you to apply. We hope to receive funds from the California Department of Community Services and Development, along with continued individual, government, and foundation support. Please reach out with questions or ideas in advance!

Client Videos

We have a few new client videos on our website! Thanks to the Women’s Building and NECFCU for hosting us. Meet Gina and Alice! More client stories are coming soon.
