Returning Volunteer Training for Santa Clara County

Welcome back, Returning Volunteers!

Remember that all training is OPTIONAL. Technically, you can just go straight to the test! However, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND in-person training, which should help you prepare to pass your certification exams again.

Here are your training options for learning the tax law and software:

Online self-study and certification

Study the tax law and practice in your own free time! Follow your certification path and peruse our awesome training resources and online training modules for more information.

In-person refresher training for federal tax law & software (SIGN UP FOR DECEMBER -or- JANUARY SESSION BELOW, NOT BOTH)

In-person training is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and geared towards helping returning volunteers get back in the tax groove! Technically though, you can go straight to take the test within VITA / TCE Central (also known as IRS Link & Learn Certification website).
